On July 15th at 11:15 Pm, Madison County Deputies were dispatched to the Madison County Fairgrounds North Parking Lot to assist a female pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle had left the scene of the accident, but witnesses were able to give a description of the vehicle, as well as a license plate number. Deputies intercepted the vehicle exiting the Fairgrounds on 6th street in Madison. A traffic stop was conducted by Madison County Deputies that resulted in Brian L. Coffman, age 40, of Norfolk, NE being arrested for Driving under the Influence resulting in serious bodily injuries, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Serious Bodily injuries, and Driving under Suspension. The pedestrian was transported to Faith Regional to be seen for her injuries. Assisting Madison County was, Madison Police Department, BlueLine Security, and Madison Emergency Medical Services. |
