*Correction*

On September 10, 2021 at approximately 1:38 PM, Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle located at Will’s Paint and Body in Tilden NE.

The vehicle was a white 1994 Chevy Suburban with 35″ tires. Upon further investigation this vehicle was found to be stolen from the North Platte area. Witnesses say a black male wearing all black clothing and carrying a black back pack was seen getting out of the truck and walking away from the area earlier in the day.

After a short amount of time , witnesses advised, that same male was seen walking east bound on Hwy 275 away from Tilden. Deputies were able to locate the male and had contact with him. The male identified himself as 40 yo Timothy Pickett (homeless). Pickett was then transported back to the stolen vehicle where he was positively identified by a witness. Pickett was then arrested for being in Possession of Stolen Property and booked in to the Madison County Jail.
