2025 August/Labor Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 9/09/2025 CONTACT: Sheriff Todd Volk Madison County Sheriff Department Arrested 6 Drunk Drivers During 2025 Labor Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign
Madison, Nebraska — Madison County Sheriff Department partnered with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 2025 Labor Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over drunk-driving enforcement campaign. From August 18th – September 1st, 2025, local law enforcement showed zero tolerance for impaired driving, arresting 6 offenders for the deadly crime.
The Madison County Sheriff Department ramped up its usual enforcement efforts and made sure there was extra impaired driving patrol. “Deputies came out with the goal to continue to make the roadways safe.” “We ensure that our Deputies work hard for our citizens and like always they performed outstanding,” said Sheriff Volk. The Madison County Deputies had 182 total contacts with the public. Deputies issued 67 tickets and had multiple other types of arrest.
BEING A RESPONSIBLE DRIVER IS SIMPLE: IF YOU ARE DRINKING, DO NOT DRIVE.
“We encourage those who wish to drink alcohol to always make a plan before they head out to their festivities, so that they may avoid driving drunk at all costs,” said Sheriff Volk. “Remember: It is never okay to drink and drive. Even one drink can be one drink too many. Drinking and driving is a choice; one you should never make.”
