On 3/20/24, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Meadow Grove Fire and Rescue, was called to a one vehicle motorcycle accident  shortly after 12:00 am in Meadow Grove.

A motorcycle driven by 60 year-old Paul Hecht of Tilden, lost control traveling South on 4th Street. The motorcycle then crashed near the intersection of 4th and Lilac Avenue.

Deputies arrived on scene and performed life saving measures. Hecht later passed away on scene. The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation, at this time.  

Next of kin notified.
