On the afternoon of August 17th, 2020 at approximately 3:46 PM, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Madison Police Department and Madison Fire and Rescue, responded to a two vehicle involved accident south of Madison on Highway 81, at the intersection of Industrial Parkway. One of the drivers, a 31 year old Madison resident had to be transported by Madison Rescue to Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. On the morning of June 2nd, 2020 at approximately 8:40 AM, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Norfolk Police Department and Norfolk Fire and Rescue, responded to a single vehicle involved accident south of Norfolk on Highway 81, south of the 555th Avenue intersection. As a result of the rollover accident, the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by Norfolk Fire & Rescue. The 19 years of age driver and lone occupant, a Norfolk resident, was flown from the scene via LifeNet helicopter for treatment of their injuries.
