UPDATE: Corrected Vehicle On April 14, 2024, the driver of the Ford F150, Zoey M. Watson (17 YOA) passed away from her injuries. Next of Kin has been notified. No Further information Sheriff Volk On April 13, at approximately 10:50 am, Madison County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of 548th Ave. and 832nd Rd. for a report of a two-vehicle rollover accident involving three people. It was later determined that all persons involved were minors. According to Madison Deputies, A 2016 Chevy Trax was headed southbound on 548th Ave., when I t-boned a 2003 Ford F150 that was headed eastbound on 832nd Rd. The Chevy Trax rolled over onto its top with the 17-year-old female occupant was still trapped inside the vehicle. A passerby helped the 17 year old out of the vehicle. The Ford F150 also rolled over and ended upright. The 17-year-old female driver of the Ford was ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath. She was later freed by rescue personnel and assisting Officers The 15-year-old male passenger of the Ford was also ejected and found approximately 30 yards from the vehicle. Both occupants of the Ford were eventually transported by Life-Net to Omaha for suspected potential life threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevy was transported to Faith Regional for suspected non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles are considered a total loss. Seat belts were believed to be used by the driver of the Chevy and the passenger of the Ford; however, it is believed that the seat belt was not in use by the driver of the Ford. Madison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Madison Police, Nebraska State Patrol, Madison Rescue, Battle Creek Rescue, Norfolk Rescue, and Life-Net. Madison Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all Fire and Rescue personnel, Nebraska State Patrol Troopers, Madison Police, and Norfolk Dispatch Center for their assistance during this incident. |
