Deputies report that they have reopened Highway 81 now that snow plows have cleared the road.

Travel is still NOT recommended.

Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies have closed southbound Highway 81 at 833 Road, otherwise known as the Enola Road. 

Deputies on scene state that the southbound lanes are blown shut and no plows are available to re-open the highway.

This continues to be a dangerous storm. Please do not attempt to travel anywhere in Madison or the surrounding counties until the winds subside and the roads are re-opened.
