Drive Sober or Get Pulled over Campaign Madison County
Madison County Sheriff Department will be participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign from August 16-September 2, 2019. The Sheriff’s Department will be kicking this off with a driving under the influence checkpoint.
On August 16,2019 from 9:00 -Midnight, the area chosen is the Cowboy Trail Parking Lot located on Railroad Road in Madison County. This area is also commonly known as Broken Bridge road which is located between 49th and 45th Street , South West of Norfolk.
The mission is to have a high visibility check point and patrols to hold impaired drivers accountable. Last year, 33% of Nebraska’s fatal crashes were alcohol-involved. This was a 30 % increase for 2017.
