On February 12th, 2024 at approximately 12:37 pm, Madison County Deputies were dispatched to Highway 81 and NE Industrial Highway, north of Norfolk, for a single vehicle accident. A semi-truck and trailer full of grain had flipped on its side, blocking both northbound lanes of traffic. The truck, coming from the North, was attempting to turn east onto NE Industrial Highway, when it flipped on to the passenger side. The 17 year old driver of the truck sustained no injuries. Norfolk Fire and Rescue assisted in the cleaning up of the grain and the road was fully open again just after 2:00 pm.
